Gold Hill Truck HDR, Ink Jet Photo Print on Arches Buff. On a trip to Colorado I passed through Gold Hill, CO in 2007. My favorite parts of this little town is the amazing barbecue food, occasional Blue Grass festival, and all these remnants, or even artifacts of times past.
This image was a finalist in the Photographer’s Forum 2008 College Photography Contest. It was shot on a camera that probably cost about $200 at the time. I had learned how to tweak the exposure manually. It was stabilized by a tree trunk.
I received word about a year ago that a very bad forest fire in the hills above Boulder, CO. has burnt most of this town to the ground.
